RE: Conducting an effective seminar

Practice, Practice, Practice. Do it just like you would at the place your going to deliver it. I used to have to do a lot of presentations for large groups and a lot of times I'd use slides or a laptop that projected on a large screen. Well when your sitting there reading something you miss things, when it's up on a large screen and you're talking about it, things/mistakes can leap out at ya.
Other then that what Twomed and Briteskys said

RE: Camp Creek RV Park

I tried RV Parks Reviews and they hadn't been rated. We went to a place inc Knoxville once just from the internet and it was a dump plus we got our toad stolen and it was a den of thieves. Always check on RV Parks Reviews and here before I go to a place.
But I agree with GA Dragon the guy sure sounded nice and good to know that it looks nice. We'll give it a shot and it's first review.

Has anyone stayed at Camp Creek RV Park in Clayton Georgia? We're
planning a little extended weekend outing there and would like any feedback we can get.
Thanks!

RE: membership big water santee

Yes my wife and I did. We didn't join and wouldn't go back . It wasn't bad just a lot of places we enjoy a lot more that don't require membership.

RE: What's Your Favorite Site # @ Hunting Island St.Prk and WHY?

We just RETURNED from there Saturday we had site 191 but that was aways from the beach but I liked it a lot.
However on the way back from the beach we cut thru a site that backed up to the beach access road and was sheltered (a lot of the beach sites get A LOT of wind) we checked the Elec and it had 50 amps avail.
The site was 91 hands down I would say that's the best site I saw.
There are a lot the you can see the water but they were real windy when we were there. I walked from our site in short sleeve shirt to the beach and was freezing the wind was so bad and I saw no one sitting out at those sites. Our site were outside all the time and no
wind and much warmer. GREAT PLACE YOU'LL LOVE IT!

RE: Myrtle Beach Route

Thanks Much Four Camping that's just what I was looking for!! I don't want to appear lazy as I am looking at maps and such but have found that it's best to run things by people on this board ever since we got our car stolen at a campground we picked out ourselves. Nothing beats experience!! Again thanks all

RE: Hersey RV Show

Personally I don't see a think wrong with what he did as long as he wasn't pushy or rude. I would of thanked him and had I been looking for an RV would of given them a shot. These guys are probably starving now with the slow down in sales so he's just trying to get his name out there for someone to consider giving him an opportunity.
I occasionally do cold calling in my business and it's a tough thing to do and most people don't like doing it but must.

RE: Propane detector acting odd

I had the exact same problem with mine. After reading the instruction manual I discovered that it also detects low battery and that was what was causing it to go off. I'm in a motor home and am not sure how it would work in a different set up but definately look at the instructions or check your batteries.

Myrtle Beach Route

We're going from Atlanta to Myrtle Beach Ocean Lakes Camp Ground at 6001 South Kings Highway. Would like suggestions on the best route,
we have done this via GPS and it brought us through a few towns with tight roads and also way down Kings Highway which was stop and go for a long way to the camp ground.

RE: Watson Mill Bridge or Victoria Bryant SP in Ga?

I haven't visited either of those but I have been to two Georgia State Parks this year. Amicalola Falls and Red Top Mtn State Park both were GREAT and I highly recommend them. I would bet that the two your talking about are along the same lines. Big level spaces with a picnic table at each site and fire rings. Very Nice if they'd of had sewer hook ups at each camp lot they would of been perfect. We aren't able to store much grey water so that always gets us over 3 or 4 days.

RE: KOA

Definatly check it out on RV Park Reveiws and ask people on this board.
I am also new to RVing and looked a site up online (not KOA) and
went there. It was a terrible place nad we got our car stolen and the police said we were lucky it wasn't more.
Also when I got back home I found out about RV Park Reviews and looked them up. There was one review that was great (obviously the owner or mgr)but the other two were fairly bad BUT I might have tried it anyway. So pay atention to what they say if there are some bad reviews either move on or do a lot more research!!!

12V Strange Problem

I just got back from a camping long weekend and when I unpluged from the 50 amp circuit we were hooked up to I noticed that nothing worked on the 12v side in the coach. The water pump, full/empty readout for tanks, lights, fans, etc. When I start the gen or plug in everything works fine.
The driving 12v stuff works fine, lights, starter, radio, AC,pwr windows, pwr seats, etc.
I haven't started trouble shooting yet but thought someone might be able to point me in the right direction.
I have a 1999 ford V10 and a 2000 Mtn High Rsidency (Thor) Coach.

RE: "READY BRUTE" Plus

I also have the Brute Plus and really like it. I also installed it myself and it was quite easy to install.
The only think i ahd done was the tow vehicle wired to plug into
the adapter so the lights would work.
No problems and everything works great plus with the break away and braking system you are legal to tow every where.

RE: GOOD SAM Cash Flow?

I have to wonder if maybe GOOD SAM is experiencing cash flow difficulties. Got a renewal notice from them today and my current membership is still paid-up for 6 months. Antbody else get them like this? Nothing but sales pitches from them, don't think I'm renewing even when it's due.
:M I AGREE it seems that you pay them to put you on every mailing list about RV's in the Nation. We won't be renewing.

Selecting RV Parks (Bad experience)

We just planned a trip to Tenn for the weekend to visit our niece.
Without boring you with the details we picked a horrible RV Park, our car got stolen and the police told us to get out of here this isn't a place for people like you, this definately good of been worse and if we had stayed I'm sure worse things would of happened.
But the police said we should of researched the site more, we found it online it looked great, one of the highest priced ( not outrageous) good description, and looked like a good site plan and activities. We told our niece where we staying and they didn't indicate any problems. I know NOW to move on when you don't like the looks of it but that really wasn't an option at the time (another long story)
So my question is how do you "research an RV Park",other than what we did? Also when you are traveling to a destination and want to stop how do you pick a park?
By the Way the Park was SouthLake RV Park in Knoxville Tenn.

Four Wheel Drive Towing

I bought a manual shift 4 wheel drive Kia as my TOAD and the owners manual is a little confusing in one area of the manual it says whenm towing 4 down to have the 4 wheel drive in 2H but in another section it says have the 4 wheel drive in neutral.
What do most of you who tow four wheel drive set the 4 wheel drive?
